In the begining for me it was if a concrete wall had fallen on my chest and I had inhaled before it fell but now could not exhale. Like holding my breath under water and your lungs expanding and ready to burst and your not sure why they don’t. Like trying to speak and your realize you are mute. These were the easiest feelings. There were harder ones that are not explainable in words.
True words. When we first suspected our son was using and when it was confirmed, I went into hyper management mode. I documented everything. I read everything. I tried to outsmart his addiction. It wore me out and then I realized it was time to focus on me.
